Monday, July 14, 2003:
This is the luckiest day of my life. One minute I was sitting in the Neopian Pound crying my eyes out and the next I was cuddling in the arms of a very nice lady named Grammy. She adopted me and took me home with her. Now I have a big sister and a big brother. Read Adoption Day for the full story.
Tuesday, July 15, 2003:
Last night I was so scared. I've never slept in a room all by myself before. I'm afraid that I kept everyone up all night. So today we changed all the bedrooms around. I got the one next to Grammy's. Now if I get scared I can climb into bed with her.
Grammy and I were sitting in the Meditation Garden. Grammy was reading me the book 'The Lonely Grundo' when Eyrianne and Merlin came in. Merlin picked me up and put me on his back. We all went to my room. There on my bed was the prettiest petpet I've ever seen. It looks like a Christmas Tree cut into the shape of a cat with one big eye in it's forehead. We named him Sparkles.
Grammy had to go back to the island where she was coordinating the Survivor-Neopia game. She left Eyrianne in charge with Mr. Stam and Puuuuurrrr to look in on us. Eyrianne slept in Grammy's room so she could hear me at night and that made me feel good.
Wednesday, July 16, 2003:
Today Eyrianne and I spent the morning in the Library. She showed me letters and told me what sounds they make. It was fun. She would show me a letter and if I got the sound right she would give me a piece of organic pear. I like pears.
In the afternoon, Merlin and I went swimming. We had a fun time. Then Mr. Stam and Puuuuurrrr came over. Puuuuurrrr is a shadow Aisha and real friendly. He took me to the play garden and showed me how to use a sword. It was plastic but we had fun. Sparkles liked watching us.
I really love Sparkles. We cuddle at night. It makes both of us feel safe and warm.
Saturday, July 19, 2003:
Today I read a book all by myself. Eyrianne was so happy that she made me a cake. Mr. Stam says I'm doing real good. Ever Puuuuurrrr was proud of me. Puuuuurrrr tells me about the Guild of Booklovers Detectives and all their adventures. He says that when I get bigger maybe Grammy will let me go with them on an adventure. Right now I have to go stay with Wellie at the Welcomers' shop when ever they have a meeting.
Thursday, July 24, 2003:
Today we got a note from Grammy. She says we are to come to the Survivor Island for the final Tribal Council. I don't know what that is but I will be glad to see Grammy. I can't wait to show her how I can read. Mr. Stam and Puuuuurrrr are going with us. We're going to take a ride on a boat.
Grammy was so glad to see me. She says that I have grown since she's been gone. I got to read her a book before they had their big meeting.
On the way home I cuddled in Grammy's arms and fell asleep. It felt good to have her hold me. I love Grammy bunches and bunches.
