It was a warm Saturday afternoon. The sky was clouding over and it looked like it was going to rain. I had been at the park, which is a couple blocks from my home, playing my favorite game, Baseball. I'm a short stop and nothing gets by me. I'm the only female on my league team. Coach called practice short because it looked like it might rain.

I saw my brother, Merlin the starry Gelert, playing board games in the picnic area and my other brother JC the purple Grundo, playing in the sandbox. So I called to them that we had better go home before it started to rain. They both came running over to me. So with my trusty bat and glove tucked under my arm, we started toward home.

We live in a nice house at 85261 Coconut Road, on Mystery Island,with our owner grammy. She's really good to us. We each have a petpet. Mine is a snowbunny that I named Precious. Grammy calls me her little tomboy. I'd rather wear a baseball cap, sneakers, jeans and a T-shirt Than a dress any old day. I'm not into frills. Although I do like my one gold earring that's in my left ear.

We were almost home when the sky opened up and dumped buckets of rain on us. JC and Merlin raced the rest of the way home. But I like the rain so I continued to just slowly walk.

Suddenly there appeared in front of me a little Bruce who said, " I'm Boochi and I'm going to shoot you with my ray gun." Then there was a bright flash of light and zap I was turned into a baby. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't carry my bat and glove. I could barely toddle let alone run. But toddle I did as fast as I could to the house. I had to find Grammy and see what could be done. I'm the oldest but now I'm a baby.

When I got to the front door I couldn't reach the doorknob. I tried to jump but my new little legs just couldn't get me high enough. I found a stick in the front yard so I rang the doorbell. Grammy opened the door and said, " Well, hello there. Aren't you a cute baby Zafara. Who do you belong to?"

In my new small voice I said, " You! I'm ZabrinaS"

"Come on now, my Zabrina is a big girl not a baby."

"Grammy, some Bruce named Boochi zapped my with a ray gun and I turned into a baby."

" Oh my!" She said as she picked me up and carried me into the living room. "Eyrianne, bring me some towels. Please!"

In a few minutes Eyrianne had brought some towels in and Grammy started to dry me. "Grammy, who's little Zafara is that?" She asked cocking her head to the side.

"Eyrianne, this is your sister, Zabrina. She got zapped walking home and was turned into a baby after JC and Merlin ran ahead. I just don't know what to do."

"Why don't you call Ms. Brenda. She knows lots about pets."

" That's a great idea. You stay here with Zabrina while I call."

So Eyrianne and I sat on the couch and hoped that Brendac could tell Grammy how to get me back to myself and size.

It seemed like hours before Grammy came back in. She didn't have a glad face in fact I don't think I've ever seen such a big frown. " Brenda said there is no way to reverse this. Zabrina, you'll just have to grow up all over again."

So here I am stuck in a babies body. Everybody is getting used to me being this size. But I wish you could have seen Coach cry when Grammy told him what had happened. All he could say was, " We'll never win the championship now. She was my best player."
